I think CADKEY is still chosen by many mold companies because it is really cheap.

At least in mold design and mechanical design, CADKEY is much more professional than AUTOCAD.
Cadkey is a good design software, but as a mold designer, I think it is not very flexible.and it is not very compatible.
UGNX, Pro/E, CATIA is gradually replacing these 2.5D design softwares.
